Game Of Thrones wint 8 Creative Emmy Awards

In afwachting van de ‘echte’ Emmy Awards (die voor programma, acteur en actrice) (zie Game Of Thrones breekt ei zo na het record) werden afgelopen weekend de ‘Creative Emmy Awards’ uitgereikt. De twee programma’s met de meeste nominaties eindigden bij deze uitreiking ook op de eerste twee plaatsen: Game Of Thrones won acht Emmy’s, American Horror Story: Freak Show kreeg er vijf. Daarna volgde de HBO-film Bessie met vier Emmy's. Andere series die in de prijzen vielen waren: Transparent (3), Boardwalk Empire (2), House Of Cards (2), The Jinx: The Life And Deaths Of Robert Durst (2), Olive Kitteridge (2) en Silicon Valley (2)

HBO was andermaal de dominerende zender met niet minder dan 29 Emmy’s, bijna drie keer zoveel als de tweede in de rij, NBC, die er 11 won. Ondanks zijn 11 nominaties ontbrak Mad Men voor de vierde keer op rij in het lijstje van de ‘Creative Emmy Awards’. In de afgelopen drie jaar betekende dat ook geen enkele Emmy tijdens de grote plechtigheid die volgende week zondag plaatsvindt. Hopelijk kan dit laatste seizoen voor de verandering zorgen.
