IPA reikt Satellite Awards uit

Afgelopen weekend werden de Satellite Awards uitgereikt. Deze prijzen onderscheiden net zoals de Golden Globes de beste films én televisieprogramma’s van het afgelopen jaar. Vaak zijn de resultaten afwijkend van de meer vertrouwde prijsuitreikingen. Ook dit jaar was dat het geval. In de categorie ‘Beste miniserie of televisiefilm’ haalde Dancing On The Edge het bijvoorbeeld van Behind The Candelabra en werd John Goodman bekroond als ‘Beste Acteur in een Comedy’ voor zijn rol in Alpha House, de allereerste serie van Amazon.
Breaking Bad en Orange Is The New Black wonnen elk drie awards, één voor Beste Serie (respectievelijk drama en comedy) en twee voor acteerprestaties (respectievelijk 'beste acteur in een drama serie' en 'beste acteur in een bijrol' en 'beste vrouwelijke bijrol' en 'beste actrice in een comedy serie').
