Nominaties Internationale Emmy’s zijn bekend

In tegenstelling tot andere jaren ontbreekt het dit jaar aan grote en bekende namen op de nominaties voor de internationale Emmy’s. Bij de genomineerden voor beste serie zijn McMafia en de Indische Netlfix-serie Sacred Games de enige bekende titels. Hun concurrenten zijn de Braziliaanse serie 1 Contra Todos en de in Nederland omstreden Duitse serie Bad Banks (herinner je de problemen rond het dubben van de serie).
Tussen de genomineerde acteurs en actrices vinden we namen als Jenna Coleman, genomineerd voor The Cry en Christopher Eccleston, genomineerd voor Come Home.
Verder zijn er ook twee Nederlandse en een Belgisch programma genomineerd. In de categorie ‘Non-scripted Entertainment’ maakt het door Philippe Geubels gepresenteerde Taboe een behoorlijk goede kans om de Emmy meer naar huis te brengen.

De winnaars worden bekendgemaakt op 25 november in New York.
