Nominaties voor de Emmy’s zijn bekend!

Om halfdrie onze tijd, werden in Noord-Hollywood, in de TV Academy, de nominaties bekend gemaakt van de Emmy’s 2014. Carson Daly en Mindy Kaling waren de presentators van dienst.
De serie die de meeste nominaties binnenhaalde was Game Of Thrones, een van de weinigen series zijn aantal nominaties per seizoen ziet stijgen. De serie over de strijd voor Westeros haalde 19 nominaties binnen. Dat is er eentje meer dan Fargo, de miniserie gebaseerd op de gelijknamige film. Daarna volgt American Horror Story: Coven met 17 nominaties. Breaking Bad en de AIDS-film The Normal Heart haalden elk 16 nominaties binnen. De meest genomineerde comedy is Orange Is The New Black dat 12 nominaties scoorde. Evenveel als Downton Abbey en nieuwkomer True Detective.
Mad Men (8), Girls (2) en Homeland (4) behaalden historische laagtecijfers. HBO scoorde in het totaal 99 nominaties, dat is meer dan het dubbele van naaste concurrent CBS die er 47 scoorde. De kabelzenders deden het ook dit jaar meer dan uitstekend.
